Partners HealthCare’s commitment to bringing the benefits of telehealth to our patients has taken another stride forward, with a new initiative called Partners HealthCare On Demand. The new solution provides urgent care video visits, with high-quality care from Partners clinicians for minor illnesses and injuries.

The service will first be available to the commercial members of Partners’ Neighborhood Health Plan, which will become known as AllWays Health Partners beginning in January 2019. Patients will connect with providers through a secure video visit they can access online or with a mobile device, enabled by Teladoc Health. Managed by Partners Connected Health in collaboration with Partners Community Physicians Organization and Neighborhood Health Plan, Partners HealthCare On Demand supports Partners’ efforts to improve care access and patient engagement.

“Moving forward, this will be a big part of our care delivery strategy, and we expect usage to increase in the future,” notes Joseph C. Kvedar, MD, Vice President, Connected Health. “This is an important step toward fully integrated care delivery.”

That integrated telehealth strategy spans a wide range of digital health technologies that deliver quality patient care outside of traditional medical settings, including programs to enhance medication adherence, care coordination, chronic disease management, and prevention.
