John Messervy AIA is an architect and the Director of Capital and Facilities Planning for Partners HealthCare. John is responsible for Partner’s multi-year facility planning program and their large-scale construction projects. During the past decade Partners has invested more than $2B in new facility construction and renovation in support of the highest level of clinical care, medical research and teaching for which Partners is internationally known.
John founded the Partners Sustainability Initiative in 2008 and is Chair of the Healthier Hospitals Initiative (www.healthierhospitals.org), a coalition of the nations leading hospitals committed to reducing the environmental footprint of the healthcare sector.
John graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with Masters degrees in Architecture and City Planning. He has spoken at conferences nationally and taught or lectured at Harvard University, MIT, and Tufts University. John is a past board member of the Boston Society of Architects.
